Hello there, Good Shabbos,

Weather-wise it is turning into a rather nice Spring, and i hope you are able to get out and enjoy it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Congratulations to all concerned with the Israel entry for the Eurovision Song Contest. Carolyne Davis has written about this in her column which we are releasing today, It can be found under News from Israel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Middle East, not a lot new has happened, unless what Donald Trump is saying about his talks in China, happen to be true, but this is not necessarily the case. The cease-fire continues although Hezbollah and Israel would not believe it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So who will be our Prime Minister this time next month or year? What difference would it make to the Jewish population. Personally I think that Keir Starmer has been very fair to our people. I think Wes Streeting would be no different - I remember him speaking to the Board of Deputies a few years ago. I don't know anything about Andrew Burnham. I do remember that Angela Rayner was closely associated with Jeremy Corbyn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is quite a lot happening here over the next few weeks. For those of you who remember the lovely Gweni Sorokin, there is a tribute concert happening at the Ajex Hall on Sunday 24th May - See the advertisement below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The weekend after is Shavuot, and Chabad are running a plethora events in which to celebrate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They are also running their Camp Gan where there will be wonderful things to do at the Hove Recreation Ground, where Hove Rugby Club play, full details can be seen below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And of course this is the the 50th anniversary of the Ralli Hall - see under to see how you can make a difference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am pleased to say that we have recipes from Rachelle for delicious Cheese Cakes to commemorate Shavout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mean while we have the Jack Kaye Albion Gazette XXXX1 about the great game which Brighton had with Wolves where they scored 2 in the first few minutes and went on to wine the gam 3-0. Good luck to Brighton at Leeds today, Sunday<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This weeks Parsha is Barmidbar and among other things it refers to the census taken to find out how many people there were in all- 603,550, and particularly among the Levites. It is interesting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I hope you have a great weekend, and those of you who are in the Brighton area, don't forget that the Brighton Fringe is on during May and there are some wonderful shows to see.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
