{"id":3372,"date":"2024-03-29T10:17:29","date_gmt":"2024-03-29T10:17:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.shavuatov.co.uk\/?p=3372"},"modified":"2024-03-29T11:16:19","modified_gmt":"2024-03-29T11:16:19","slug":"corinne-rachelles-oat-topped-apple-crumble","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.shavuatov.co.uk\/?p=3372","title":{"rendered":"Corinne Rachelle's Oat topped Apple Crumble"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1512\" height=\"1252\" src=\"https:\/\/www.shavuatov.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/Oat-Topped-Apple-Crumble.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3373\" style=\"width:591px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.shavuatov.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/Oat-Topped-Apple-Crumble.jpg 1512w, https:\/\/www.shavuatov.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/Oat-Topped-Apple-Crumble-768x636.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1512px) 100vw, 1512px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-large-font-size\">Oat Topped Apple Crumble serves 8.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The clocks go forward this weekend, and that is a time that normally heralds the<br>start of spring, lighter food, and getting ready for Pesach (Passover). but the<br>weather is incredibly windy today and shouts comfort food.<br>In Britian something we do really well is hot puddings, Apple crumble is an all-<br>time classic one, especially if paired with either custard or ice cream could be an<br>ultimate comfort food!<br>Whatever you want to serve with it, Oat Topped Apple Crumble is a brilliant way to<br>use up some of the chametz before pesach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><strong>Ingredients serves 8 so you could make two!<\/strong><br>2 bags of apples, (or 12 apples) peeled, and cut into cubes.<br>100 grams soft brown sugar<br>1 tablespoon caster sugar<br>1 teaspoon ground cinnamon<br>\u00bd teaspoon allspice<br>100 grams sultanas or raisins or chopped dates optional.<br>350 grams tomar block<br>300 grams plain flour (either gluten free or regular)<br>300 grams porridge oats (either gluten free or regular)<br>3 tablespoons fresh orange juice<br><br><strong>Method<\/strong><br>Pre heat oven to 180C\/160C fan\/gas 4<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Place the cut apples with tablespoon of caster sugar plus the orange juice<br>into a saucepan .and cook over a medium heat for 5 minutes, add the<br>dried fruit, and half the cinnamon, cook for a further minute then take off<br>the heat and transfer into an oven proof dish.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Place the tomar, oats, sugar, allspice, flour, and the rest of the cinnamon<br>into a food processor pulse it, till you have chunky breadcrumbs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Place the crumble mixture over the apple till it\u2019s well covered. Bake in the<br>oven in the middle shelf for 35 \u2013 40 minutes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Serve warm with either custard, double cream, or Ice cream.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Oat Topped Apple Crumble serves 8.
