The reports in the western media of \u201cWar is imminent\u201d or the headlines that say how hard everyone is working to avoid war in the Middle East are just ludicrous nonsense. In which world, having suffered over 20,000 rocket attacks since October 7th, is Israel, which when we last checked was in the Middle East not at war. The message is we don\u2019t care what\u2019s happening in Israel as long as it doesn\u2019t effect us !<\/p>\n\n\n\n

War is raging, soldiers, young soldiers are being killed daily and over 88,000 people are displaced. To date 1,635 Israelis have been killed and they are mostly civilians including babies and young children, the elderly and the sick.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The savage and brutal attack of October 7th that led to this war has been mostly brushed aside and the plight of the hostages has very much faded away as the world worries that the war could spill out leading to a wider conflict forcing the rest of the world to confront the terror that Israel is facing  mostly alone. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There remains very little sympathy or understanding of Israel\u2019s precarious fight and in every capital in the west the posters of the hostages have been torn down as though they are the perpetrators and not the victims. It is a heartbreaking sight to see the posters of innocent small children, dancing revellers and grandparents snatched from their homes ripped and torn. Posters of lost dogs and cats are given more respect ! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The terrorists are experts at moving around and each time the IDF clears an area in Gaza they just manage via their tunnels and in disguise to move among the civilians and set up their mobile terror bases at the next location. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hamas have also successfully established themselves in the West Bank and the IDF are having to carry out very dangerous operations there to destroy each cell that pops up. It really is like Wack a Mole, but with dire consequences, not only for the soldiers but for the Arabs who were just trying to live their lives and are now flooded with terrorists and IDF. Jenin is a vipers nest of terrorists but the IDF are using precision targeting to eliminate them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Antonio Guterres the UN Secretary General has been sprouting words of concern and wringing his hands urging the IDF to pull out of the Palestinian areas in the West Bank, and condemning their actions,  but makes not mention that Hamas should cease their murderous operations. He has completely ignored the call of Khaled  Mashal ( the Hamas leader sitting in Istanbul) , who is urging and  recommending suicide bombings in Israel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The check points, the world likes to refer to as \u201capartheid\u201d, between the Palestinian areas in the West Bank and the Jewish areas, were erected to stop the suicide bombings which started as a weapon of mass destruction in the 1990\u2019s and peaked in Israel between 2003-2005, blowing up restaurants , buses , hotels and discotheques. More attacks  have been mostly prevented since Israel built a barrier and set up checkpoints.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Any return to suicide bombings will certainly push the prospects of a Palestinian state further away and just bring misery and destruction to everyone except the martyrs. I would imagine their  Virgins are getting a bit thin on the ground,  as so many have arrived so quickly in paradise ! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hamas have been falsifying surveys showing they have great public support. The minds of the children in Gaza have been poisoned for the last 17 years by the UNWRA allowing a curriculum that focuses mostly on Jihad and martyrdom,  but it is unlikely that the Gazans support this crazy situation, where it is quite clear that Israel is not going to allow Hamas to regain control over Gaza and waging war will not chase the Jews out of Israel, which is their holy ambition. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Polio is being reported among the children In Gaza,  and the UN are rushing vaccines to stop a spread of a dreadful disease that was mostly eradicated in the world. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a miraculous operation a Bedouin hostage was rescued this week. Farhan al-Qadi, a father of 11,  was reunited with his delighted family . He has told how he was shot in the leg while being taken and was operated on without anaesthesia! He also told how he sat with 86 year old Aryeh Zalmonovich who was left to starve to death after being abducted from Kibbutz Nir Oz. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The government obviously have information and intelligence concerning the hostages to which we are not privy. All we know is that there are 107 captives but it is thought less than 50 are alive. 117 have been have returned home alive and 31 bodies have been rescued.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The world is left scratching their heads after witnessing the IDF a mostly Jewish army risking their lives to rescue a Muslim man. The urgency of reaching the other hostages could not be more critical,  but it is thought that the newly declared leader of Hamas,  Sinwar , has them close to him in one of the remaining tunnels. One can only despair at the terrible physical and mental condition they must be in after over 330 days. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The IDF think they have destroyed 70-80% of her tunnels. Even one tunnel gives them a huge advantage to bring in more weapons.  They are clearly not going to agree to a deal,  as there is no way Israel will allow the situation of October 6th to re-establish itself. Hamas are not yet ready to surrender despite nearly 11 months of war. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The deal that everyone talks about is showing no signs of being agreed. Hamas are holding out for a full IDF withdrawal and Israel needs to remain in the area known as the Philadelphi corridor which runs between Gaza and Egypt. There are proposals that the Egyptians could monitor this area,  but that was their responsibility previously and they allowed hundreds of tunnels to be built and used to bring in weapons. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hezbollah may be able to hold onto their power base as they have a huge cache of sophisticated weapons. They attempted a large scale attack on Israel last week, but the IAF carried out a pre-emptive attack and destroyed thousands of their loaded launchers. They have not stopped firing and continue to send barrages at the north,  but they are thinking twice. They now realise Israel is prepared to fight them if necessary and has the full backing of the USA. Israel is determined to return the northern residents home but we are not there yet. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Iran also seems to  accept that the USA is not going to sit back idly and allow them to attack Israel,  so they are also re-thinking how they will make Israel suffer without having to suffer the backlash of the USA who have sent aircraft carriers, war ships and fighter squadrons to the Middle East.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yemen continues to cause havoc and damage in the Red Sea and disrupt the shipping routes . They are goading Israel and the US despite being possibly the poorest country on the planet, but they are overrun with religious fanatics.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In conclusion it would seem that the IDF is making very good progress in Gaza although it remains a very dangerous theatre of war. Hezbollah and Iran are reconsidering their position as they like the power and do not want to suffer the same fate as Hamas who are being systematically defeated. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The West Bank area is emerging as a huge problem with terror cells and terrorist fighters all over the place. The money from Iran needs to be stopped . Hezbollah cannot survive without funding and the Biden administration made a  huge mistake lifting the sanctions on Iran. Hamas\u2019s funds came mostly from the EU and the UN and they have started to fund UNWRA again. Just as Hamas steals the aid convoys, they steal the money and use it for terror and suppress the people. So until the West completely  stops  funding these terrorist organisation and belligerent countries  Israel\u2019s task  remains very difficult. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
