No soup powders. Yet the herbs Special salt and spices, give it an incredible flavour. It is vegan, It's special enough to serve on Shabbat, As well as during the week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:clamp(15.197px, 0.95rem + ((1vw - 3.2px) * 0.887), 23px);\">Whenever I visit Tova, as I arrive at her house winter, or summer She'll say, \u201cDo you want some soup?\u201d I regularly make this soup for myself. Especially I want to eat something light lunchtime, Or if I'm watching what I'm eating. But still want to be filled up. I'm not sure how long this Can be refrigerated for. because there's hardly ever. Leftovers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:clamp(15.197px, 0.95rem + ((1vw - 3.2px) * 0.887), 23px);\"><strong>Ingredients.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:clamp(15.197px, 0.95rem + ((1vw - 3.2px) * 0.887), 23px);\">One large onion. Chopped.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:clamp(15.197px, 0.95rem + ((1vw - 3.2px) * 0.887), 23px);\">Two cloves of garlic, peeled, cut in half.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:clamp(15.197px, 0.95rem + ((1vw - 3.2px) * 0.887), 23px);\">Half an inch of fresh ginger. No need to peel it but wash it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:clamp(15.197px, 0.95rem + ((1vw - 3.2px) * 0.887), 23px);\">One large leak Chopped. and washed thoroughly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:clamp(15.197px, 0.95rem + ((1vw - 3.2px) * 0.887), 23px);\">*2 sweet potatoes. Peeled and chopped Into medium size pieces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:clamp(15.197px, 0.95rem + ((1vw - 3.2px) * 0.887), 23px);\">Three carrots peeled and chopped.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:clamp(15.197px, 0.95rem + ((1vw - 3.2px) * 0.887), 23px);\">One stalk of celery Washed and chopped.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:clamp(15.197px, 0.95rem + ((1vw - 3.2px) * 0.887), 23px);\">*1 medium to large Courgette washed and chopped into medium size.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:clamp(15.197px, 0.95rem + ((1vw - 3.2px) * 0.887), 23px);\">*Half a cup Of fresh parsley.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:clamp(15.197px, 0.95rem + ((1vw - 3.2px) * 0.887), 23px);\">Half a cup of fresh dill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:clamp(15.197px, 0.95rem + ((1vw - 3.2px) * 0.887), 23px);\">2 Bay leaves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:clamp(15.197px, 0.95rem + ((1vw - 3.2px) * 0.887), 23px);\">*One teaspoon of.&nbsp;Herbamare Original Seasoning Salt (this is kosher, vegan, and available from Amazon) This makes the dish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:clamp(15.197px, 0.95rem + ((1vw - 3.2px) * 0.887), 23px);\">*One teaspoon of turmeric.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:clamp(15.197px, 0.95rem + ((1vw - 3.2px) * 0.887), 23px);\">Half a teaspoon of ground black pepper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:clamp(15.197px, 0.95rem + ((1vw - 3.2px) * 0.887), 23px);\">Enough cold water, to just cover all the vegetables.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:clamp(15.197px, 0.95rem + ((1vw - 3.2px) * 0.887), 23px);\"><strong>Method.<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:clamp(15.197px, 0.95rem + ((1vw - 3.2px) * 0.887), 23px);\"><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>This is the quantity. For three to four people. You can increase the quantity. By increasing the vegetables. You can add other vegetables, But I don't suggest you add tomatoes or Peppers Sometimes I add potatoes to it, And if I want some extra protein, I put in a tin of chickpeas in at the end of cooking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:clamp(15.197px, 0.95rem + ((1vw - 3.2px) * 0.887), 23px);\">All the Ingredients, Marked with an*, are the ones that give the essential flavour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:clamp(15.197px, 0.95rem + ((1vw - 3.2px) * 0.887), 23px);\">This is truly, the simplest soup in the world to make.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:clamp(15.197px, 0.95rem + ((1vw - 3.2px) * 0.887), 23px);\">Make sure your saucepan has a lid that fits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:clamp(15.197px, 0.95rem + ((1vw - 3.2px) * 0.887), 23px);\">Wash all the vegetables in cold water, Place them in the pot, then add the ginger, Bay leaves, garlic, the fresh herb, the turmeric and seasoning salt, And black pepper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:clamp(15.197px, 0.95rem + ((1vw - 3.2px) * 0.887), 23px);\">Cover the vegetables, With cold water, so the water goes no more than half an inch above the vegetables, Put the lid on the pot, bring to the boil. Let it bubble for about 10 minutes. Then turn the heat down to a simmer, and simmer for approximately an hour and a half to two hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:clamp(15.197px, 0.95rem + ((1vw - 3.2px) * 0.887), 23px);\">If you like at this stage, you can remove the Bay leaf. A ginger and the other fresh herbs. But it's not essential.
