AFTER TWO DEFEATS, WOULD BRIGHTON WIN?
NOT ONLY WIN BUT 6-0!
There are times when one hits the jackpot. Unlike Jack Kaye, I am not a professional ALbion watcher. This was only the fifth time this season.
As I took the bus to the ground, my feelings were that after the defeat by Nottingham Forest as well as the loss in the FA Cup semi-final, Brighton may be suffering from a loss of confidence. I knew that Wolverhampton Wanderers were not a bad team, so I was prepared for a lucky win or even a draw.
How wrong could I be? It was less than 4 minutes before the first goal went in and another one before the quarter of an hour. 4-0 at half time . In the second half two more goals and the crowd were in 7th heaven on a lovely sunny afternoon. There were seagulls swooping over the pitch enhancing our luck.
Jack Kaye will be producing a report later, but I could not resist reporting of the pleasure I had from this game. Now on Thursday we have the opportunity to take our revenge over Manchester United.
Brighton have three games in hand over Aton Villa and Tottenham if we win against United, we will go 6th with 2 games in hand. It is so exciting! As one who started watching Albion when they were in the 3rd Division South in 1957 - to see their rise to the elite is above remarkable.
