CAROLYNE DAVIS'S COMMENTARY

May 27, 2024

SOMEONE GAVE THE KEYS TO THE

ASYLUM TO THE LUNATICS

Israel can be left in no doubt that  much of the western world’s sensibilities take preference over the safety of Israeli citizens. They clearly would prefer a return to the status quo, giving Hamas back the power to attack at will,  as they could then just pack away their tents and banners, return to their indifference and life could go on as normal, until Israel dared to defend themselves again.

October 7th may have been the worst atrocity against Jews since the Holocaust, due its  barbarity and savagery and the huge numbers massacred in such a short time, but it is in no way an isolated event.

Israel has been suffering inhuman terror attacks from the Palestinians for many years. From 2000-2005 alone, 1,137 Israelis were killed with over 8,000 injured. Over the years,  babies in pushchairs, young people standing waiting for a bus, and buses full of children  have been targeted ! Shopping centres, a pizza restaurant , night clubs, a hotel Seder night, people at prayer in Synagogue, babes asleep in their beds are among the numerous random slaughters that Israel has been forced to tolerate by the sensibilities of the international community, with the immediate and  non stop demands for a cease fire whenever Israel tries to defend her citizens.

The Palestinians have consistently been proud and celebrated  shootings , stabbings , car rammings, lynchings and dissecting people alive, and of course the tens of thousands of  indiscriminate rockets that have been launched at communities. This is all prior to October 7th !

Now they have added sexual violence as a new  method of killing after the torture.

Each time Israel retaliated there were Palestinian casualties adding to the number of senseless killings that this ongoing conflict has perpetrated since 1948.

The rejection of the  partition of British Mandate Palestine which was intended to create a homeland for the Jews and the Arabs side by side, has eventually led to a situation that is intolerable for both sides.

The Arabs have repeatedly tried to destroy the Jewish State and have continued to reject a homeland in an independent state for themselves four times in living memory. In successive  wars caused by the Arabs,    they lost more territory and found themselves more and more restricted as Israel felt more and more threatened by the  free movement of the Palestinians within their areas.

The vacuum of decent leadership that could bring about successful negotiations for two people side by side left the way open for Hamas to take control when Israel evacuated Gaza in 2005, in what should have been the first steps towards peaceful coexistence.

The creation of the PA as the new governing body in 1994,  was meant for the Arabs to start to start state building   as a step towards a total separation and independence. Instead the leaders stole the money and built themselves fortunes while neglecting their civil duties and keeping the people down and using them as pawns against Israel.

Both the leaders of the PA and Hamas had,  and still have until today, another agenda. Various Israeli leaders have offered a Palestinian State, but each offer was refused, and as recently as the Trump administration, the PA refused to come to the negotiating table.

The fact that this conflict is not about land is yet to be understood,  and each time some recognised international body pronounces that the creation of a Palestinian state will bring about peace, that peace moves further away.

The naivety of Ireland , Spain and Norway this week who announced they recognised Palestine is astounding. Hamas have thanked them, but as Hamas’ Palestine includes all of the Jewish State it is understandable that Israel is less than pleased.

This newly recognised state, would have only murderous  terrorists as their recognised leaders in Gaza and the alternative leadership  in the West Bank are corrupt, support terror and seek a reunification with Hamas. The state, therefore,  has no acceptable leaders even by western standards, no borders, no currency and no objective other than to fulfil their charter and succeed in killing the ten million citizens that live freely in Israel.

There is ample evidence that countries administered by Islamists, which Hamas are, do not tolerate other religions, so not only would this future state be devoid of Jews, Christians would also find themselves unwelcome.

The countries that have chosen to recognise Palestine have done so in the name of democracy and freedom, both rights will be sorely missing. The Gays for Palestine would also find themselves demonised  but could enjoy some public hangings from high buildings. Women’s right are guaranteed to be non existent and the world would be much poorer without the innovative minds and wonderful scientific and technological inventions that the world has benefited from since the existence of Israel.

The Arabs that self identify as Palestinians could have secured self determination through a political process . However, this can never come to fruition all the time Gaza is ruled by a death cult supported by the people.  Therefore, defeating Hamas is the only way forward for the region.

Replacing Hamas with the PA will not  yield fruit. New leadership without a mandate to destroy Israel, is required. and it will have to be carefully monitored for a very long time. The road to peace is unfortunately a marathon and there are no easy answers.

The young Palestinians have been taught to hate by UNWRA schools and in Gazan summer camps as trainee terrorists , learning their maths and history through a cruel and distorted lens that glorifies and justifies the killing of Jews. We are looking at a re-education programme that will take generations if we are ever to have a true peace.

Today’s attacks on Tel Aviv, Netanya, Herzliya and surrounding areas just highlights the erroneous ruling by the ICJ earlier this week, who demanded Israel pull out of Rafah. The barrage of rockets this afternoon that hit the centre were all launched from Rafah. Luckily most people made it to the shelters but there are reports of shrapnel injuries to a couple of people.

Israel recovered three more bodies of perished hostages. Hanan Yablonka, Michel Nesenbaum, and Orion Hernandez Radoux were discovered in northern Gaza. Another young solider ,20 year old Batzalel Aviv has fallen in battle. The daily news of fallen soldiers and perished hostages is so sad and there is still no end in sight.

The IDF continue to hit tens of targets daily in Gaza, making new discoveries of weapon caches and launching sites. Each day we hope and pray that they discover the hostages alive as there are currently no negotiations to release them.

Very large anti government protests continue in Tel Aviv, perhaps 100,000 people urging the government to enter into negotiations to free the hostages. Hamas have stated to Al Jazeera that they do not need to negotiate as the ICJ and the ICC are doing their job for them .

In the north there were ten attacks over Shabbat with rockets and around six attacks with suicide drones.

Aid is entering the strip via the Karem Shalom crossing, although Hamas are firing daily to try to stop the aid entering . Egypt are sending aid through Israel and not via the Rafah crossing. The  ICJ have ordered Israel to re-open the Rafah border but do not realise that it is Egypt that has closed it and Israel cannot force Egypt to send aid!

In London tens of thousands of Jewish supporters turned out in Finchley to protect the screening of the documentary `”SuperNova : The Music Festival Massacre “, which went ahead on Thursday evening .

In conclusion, this week, The United Nations with their Courts of the  ICC and the ICJ, together with the  criminal UNWRA, are using all their powers to demonise and destroy Israel. We may take comfort that the anti semitism that is spreading like wild fire across Europe is not government inspired , but as most European governments belong and endorse the rulings of the United Nations it is indeed a very uncomfortable time. The very bodies that are entrusted to protect the world from tyranny are openly supporting a death cult and giving strength to countries like Iran, Russia and China, who are taking strength watching  the weakening and disintegration  of  western civilisation in Europe.

Kind Regards
