A graphic tale from people who need our support
This is Kai. Kai is a symbol of Israel, strong and brave despite having been through a trauma at 10 days old that no adult could imagine.
Kai was peacefully with his parents on a sleepy Shabbat morning on Kibbutz Nirim when the sirens sounded. As Kai’s Dad was raised on the kibbutz near Gaza the family were well versed in the routine of getting into the security room, which they happened to be sleeping in anyway and were joined by Kai’s Grandma.
The family heard shooting and checked their house camera on their phone and realised terrorists were in the house.
At Kai’s parents, Aimee and Uriel’s, wedding last summer they showed us their skills in Capoeira, ( A Brazilian no contact martial art), that requires strength and discipline.)
Together with their determination to survive, and protect their family, these skills held them in good stead to hold the door to the safe room closed for 9 hours !! Not many people could have managed that.
The Hamas terrorists tried to blew the door off and then burnt the house down driving black smoke into the safe room leaving the family gasping for breath while trying to stay silent, even while they heard their dog being burnt alive.
What was Kai’s crime that grown men wanted to murder him and his family? His crime was no different from the 6 million that were exterminated by the Nazi’s: Just being Jewish.
In the minds of Hamas these killings are justified and glorified. Read their charter. Watch the people celebrate on the streets handing out candy to small children when Jews are killed.
This is the ideology that Israel has now been forced to fight and it is no different from the Nazi Ideology that our parents generation had no choice but to fight.
Kai and his family are the lucky ones who have joined the ranks of Jewish “survivors”. 1,400 Israelis were not so lucky that day and paid with their lives in the most brutal and horrific massacre the world has seen in a long time. Around 200 people including small children and old people have been taken hostage by Hamas and no one knows their fate at this time.
Today, in the UK we must listen to debates of proportionality and these murders being put into “context” as Israel is attempting to eliminate Hamas from Gaza.
In the West Bank Arab areas there are demonstrations supporting Hamas and calling for the total destruction of Israel. In Amman they are attempting to storm the Israeli embassy and we hear Arab voices denouncing Israel’s response. Hezbollah in the north are firing on Israel in support of their brothers in Gaza.
In Gaza around 71% support Islamic Jihad, over 50% support Hamas. They are not innocent civilians as the West would have you believe but enablers, cheering on the murderers. The children are the victims as they have no choice and have been poisoned by hate from birth.
Tragically, the problem is even bigger than the Shabbat Sukkot Massacre as clearly many people support Hamas and support the killing of Jews, even babes in their beds.
The bombing of the hospital in Gaza this week highlighted the West’s bias against Israel when they broadcast that Israel was responsible, but once it was proven that Islamic Jihad was responsible they went quiet on the subject and returned to concentrating on Israel’s retaliation on Hamas, flooding the screens with pictures of injured and dead Palestinians .
All civilised people want the war to stop; That is a natural human reaction to suffering. But what the West do not understand is that if Israel does not defeat Hamas and Israel falls to the Arabs, the next destination for Jihad is Europe.
Europe is already flooded with Islamists ready to destroy Christianity and Western Culture. Israel stands as the only democracy in the Middle East and the last defence of Christianity in the region and the only safe haven for Jews. Of course, this week it looks like anything but safe but we must remember Europe in the 1930’s when the Jews had no one prepared to defend them.
The words, Ethnic Cleansing, genocide and apartheid are constantly thrown at Israel. But take a proper look at the evidence. The first figure is the number of Jews in 1948 and the second is today:

In the 1940’s and 50’s nearly a million Jewish people were thrown from their homes by the Arabs and many of them went to Israel.
All Christian groups in the Middle East have been wiped out by Muslims except in Israel where they are protected. Bethlehem and Nazareth were 80% Christian until it was handed to the Arabs to administer. Today there is less than handful.
In 1948, there were around 700,000 Arabs in British Mandate Palestine, descended from all over Arabia, today there are 7 million Palestinians, claiming to be refugees. That must be the most unsuccessful ethnic cleaning ever !
When the State of Israel was granted by the United Nations, Ben Gurion wanted to respect the rights of all who lived in British Mandate Palestine and Jews wanted to live in peace side by side with their Arab cousins, who have from that day to this refused and fabricated this Palestinian movement with one goal only. Genocide and ethnic cleansing. The cry around the Western demonstrations is “From The River to the Sea”. That is a call for Genocide against Israel.
Do not believe the propaganda, this is not about land. The Arabs were slaughtering the Jews in 1929 and since the State of Israel has been established they have been offered a State on more than one occasion and each offer of 97-98% of their requirements has been rejected and met with a violent response.
Israel is not the wicked colonial oppressor one is led to believe . Its lies. This is an Islamic religious war supported and funded by Iran. The fear of Israel normalising relations with Saudi Arabia drove the Mullahs to unleash this attack to cause all out war in the Middle East.
