It is my opinion that Israel is making amazing progress in its aim to safeguard the borders and dismantle the Hamas control of Gaza. A lot of people are furious that the defence minister Gallant has been sacked, and replaced by Israel Katz, as we are now defeating the enemy and winning the war, albeit at a terrible price in blood, leaving so many fatherless children.
Clearly, no one has yet made any progress in the release of the remaining 101 hostages whose ordeal has just passed 400 days.
Netanyahu is having a reward campaign prepared offering $5 million and safe passage out of Gaza to anyone who helps to return a hostage alive. As Hamas are torturing Gazans,(videos showing torture have been uncovered) and stealing the aid, its difficult for anyone to risk telling the IDF.
The polio vaccination campaign in Gaza, has been completed, during which Hamas bombed the Kamal Aswan hospital injuring 6 children arriving for their vaccines. They are still intent on injuring their own citizens including innocent children, just to paint Israel in the worse possible light.
The rocket fire on the north is much diminished from a high of around 200 missiles per day to around 16 yesterday, with Hezbollah pushed back out of the range of anti tank missile attacks, which were wreaking so much damage, as they were harder to intercept.
Hundreds of targets are being destroyed and targeted in Lebanon, weakening Hezbollah further. The Lebanese are reporting air strikes near Beirut, with reports of 23 dead.
In Israel, at least six people have been wounded in strikes from Lebanon and Syria. 35 rockets were fired on the north of Israel Sunday evening.
The IAF are reported to have expanded their mission in Syria, eliminating the assassin Salim Jamie Ayyash who was behind the suicide bomb that killed the Lebanese Prime Minister in 2005.
Iran is moving weapons into Iraq , most likely to support their planned retaliatory attack on Israel in the coming days. A drone was launched from the East towards the Golan Heights .
The IDF continue destroying weapons in northern Gaza. It is unbelievable just how many weapons Hamas had accumulated, and just how long it has taken to find and destroy them. The IDF having control over Rafah has at least stopped new weapons being smuggled in from Egypt.
Over 100 guns were confiscated at the Rabin Crossing into Eilat. The smugglers were Bedouin, from a southern Israeli city.
The US are attacking Houthi areas near the city of Sanna in Yemen. The US B-52 bombers are now in Qatar and will be used to defend Israel should Iran decide to attack.
Biden is still squawking about a partial arms embargo, while allowing other shipments through. He is now a lame duck president, and Israel must just push through until January to see what stance Trump intends to take. The nosies from the Trump camp are much more encouraging, but he is unpredictable, so we are not home and dry by any stretch of the imagination.
There are news posts indicating that the Qataris have had enough of Hamas and will be expelling their leaders. This can’t yet be verified. We can speculate where they can go ? Presumably Turkey, who remains supportive of the terror group and whose leader still dreams of a new caliphate.
Israel is busy fighting on many fronts and the calls to globalise the intifada, became reality with the Pogrom in Amsterdam. The failure, once again , of the Israeli intelligence , to not warn those attending the match, just rings like the complacency that led to October 7th.
It is a sad fact,that Israelis are not safe anywhere outside of Israel in large gatherings. The terrorists have become very clever and we are not reacting to this change in their capabilities, and our complacency is costing lives.
On this occasion, they tried to camouflage their pre-planned attack among the football hooliganism that is so common at football matches. It’s hard to tell if the Dutch Police were hoodwinked into thinking the violence would be confined to the stadium, but we do understand that Israeli intelligence warned their counterparts of an impending attack.
The fans were attacked, not in the vicinity of the stadium, but by gangs who waited for them on street corners where they were jumped, run over, stabbed and beaten while being made to shout out pro-Palestinian chants.
El Al did a sterling job of rescuing everyone, but this should never had been allowed to happen again in Europe . More worryingly , it seems the Police did very little to intervene. They are clearly afraid , as are the British Police, who allowed a goose stepping anti Israel idiot to openly march in front of a peaceful Friends of Israel crowd in Brighton . If that does not constitute hate speech, then the mind boggles.
It is time to question security in Britain, as while the CST does a remarkable job, they are not militarily trained or armed. Europe may be ahead of the UK in its quest for intifada, and they already have armed guards outside their Shuls and Jewish schools. We cannot risk more regrets, as there are now too many regrets and we should believe those who say they want to kill us.
There is a double agenda at play. The Jews are being hounded in Europe and at the same time the existence of the Jewish State is constantly being questioned. Perhaps they would like to herd everyone into one big ghetto making it easier to continue the “final solution” which has morphed from the Nazis to the Muslims, supported by the lefties.
The idea of all Jews moving to Israel would be a disaster for both Europe, and those being forced out as they feel so uncomfortable. Israel is an acquired taste and not to everyone’s liking and the Jewish diaspora contributes so much and makes up the wonderful patchwork of cultures that could happily function if only one part of society didn’t resent and hate the “other” .
Hopefully this will be a better week ahead.
