Carolyne Davis - Let my people go!

April 9, 2025

The British media are having a field day !

Firstly, there is the incident where the IDF are accused of killing the Red Crescent medics.  The  footage seems to support the accusations that the ambulances did have their lights on and even though Israel claims there were seven or eight terrorists among the dead, (which is very probably true),   firing on the medical services does breach the rules of engagement. We must await the enquiry now to see exactly what happened.

In the fog of war mistakes do happen. Israel also sadly shot two of the hostages by mistake last year.  As Hamas continues to hide among the civilians , uses  ambulances to ferry themselves around and schools, hospitals and mosques as weapons depots, it is actually surprising that there have no more incidents of this kind.

There are reports of young children being sent to approach  the soldiers,  in the hope they would accidentally fired upon and the Hamas could then garner more world sympathy ! This is a truly sick ideology that is proving very difficult to defeat.

The news and media are now also full of the two British MP’s that were turned away from Ben Gurion, with David Lammy (British Foreign Secretary ), jumping into the affray by releasing a statement saying it is unacceptable, and deeply concerning. Well, firstly Mr Lammy, it does not concern you at all, and you may not like it, but a sovereign national actually has the discretionary powers of who they allow into the their country. Israel is a democracy despite the cries to the contrary, and they must allow free speech from their own citizens, but are under no obligation to entertain foreign journalists or MP’s  who come looking to demonise the state.

Foreign nationals who openly hate the country and use their office to denounce and demonise the country have no automatic right of entry. I for one am totally delighted that these two Israel haters were turned away.

Artisan Mohamed has publicly called Israel’s actions war crimes and said the world is witnessing ethnic cleansing . Both accusations have been widely disproven.  She called for a cross party ban on Israeli goods, then expected to turn up at Ben Gurion and causally enter the country.  Well good on Israel, to finally open her eyes,  and tell them to “buzz off home” where your hatred is supported . They can now fill hours at the BBC complaining and join Sadiq Khan (The Islamist Mayor of London ), who is spreading Hamas propaganda, and accused Israel of betraying humanity.

Hamas can do no wrong in their eyes and while crying they were refused entry, they can easily ignore the rapes, the burning , shooting and beheading of October 7th,  and treat  it as  some justified resistance movement . No mention of the appalling and torturous conditions the hostages have suffered and continue to suffer.

At this time, it is highly likely that some Israeli MK’s including the PM, would be arrested if they dared to step foot in Britain, as the kangaroo court of the ICC led by their President , who voted against Israel 13 times in the general assembly and is now the Prime Minister of Lebanon, issued arrest warrants.  The prosecutor was a British born Pakistani, Karim Khan, who decided not prosecute Assad who reigned over the deaths of hundreds of thousands of his own people . A very non biased judiciary ! NOT

Kemi Badenoch, the leader of the opposition,  has come in for some serious criticism as she has been a lonely voice backing Israel, adding it was “very significant:  that there are also other countries that would not welcome some of labour’s more toxic MPs.

What the British media are failing to report,  as they are so focused on the above, is that the atmosphere is Gaza is changing . Since Israel has taken the gloves off and in a prelude to the “Gates of Hell” threat, the people are starting to understand that Hamas has led them only to disaster and there is no way Hamas can survive.

So at last, there are signs that the Gazans are turning against Hamas. They are suffering terribly due to Hamas intransigence and brutal treatment of their own people.

The protests are being ignored by the West  as they fly in the face of the established narrative that Hamas is a resistance movement and they must be given a state of their own (even if that states only objective is to destroy the state of Israel )  The fact that they have had a state of their own since Israel evacuated  Gaza in 2005,  and in 2007, Hamas killed the opposition and started to convert the whole area  into an underground labyrinth solely for  weapons manufacturing, while they  oppressed the people,  is consistently and conveniently ignored !

The shock horror reaction to Trump’s proposal that Gazans could  voluntarily emigrated to another country is now morphing into a very good idea. It is  estimated that more than half would prefer the opportunity of starting a life in a new country to being held as human shields and used as cannon fodder by the crazed Hamas. A few hundred are reported to have already left for  Germany through Eilat’s Ramon airport.

It is evident tonight by the firing of ten rockets into Israel causing both damage and personal injury,  that Hamas are still clinging to the dream of destroying the Jewish State and will never give up their holy Islamic war. The only way to stop them is to destroy them, hence , the IDF are continuing to turn up the heat, having eliminated several major terrorists last week.

Death does not phase them,  but losing land apparently does, so the IDF are now annexing land to add to the buffer zone and it  should  at least , guarantee more safety  for the soldiers and the communities in the Gaza envelope. It may also be used as a bargaining chip in the hostage negotiations.

The “All eyes on Rafah” area is being encircled and divided. The troops are systemically destroying all buildings that Hamas have utilised . It’s is astonishing just how many tunnels have been discovered and destroyed since the end of the ceasefire . There are reports of more than 200 !

The IDF are successfully finding  terrorists who participated in  the October 7th attack and eliminating them.

The political wrangling continue at a pace in Israel and many people will be angry that Bibi has gone to both Hungary and tomorrow to the US, while the hostages still languish. The trip to Hungary seems to have paid dividends as the ICC sent a message to arrest Bibi and deliver him  up to The Hague, but they were also told to “Buzz off”, and Hungary has promptly announced it would quit the ICC. Belgium has also said they will not comply with the ICC. Hopefully, other countries will soon start to acknowledge who the real criminals are in this war and follow suit.

Trump has sent the world into a spiral with his tariff plans and Bibi will be working hard to get the new tariffs on Israel lifted. No doubt they will also be discussing the ever increasing Iranian threat. More US military hardware is being positioned in readiness for an attack on Iran and the talk on the street is not if but when!

Sadly,  we now facing the second Seder night, where “Let my people go” has the tragic ring of truth and there is no positive news to report on the plight of the hostages. It is clearly thought now that only force and the confiscation of land will bring about a release of the hostages. Perhaps , the people who are turning against Hamas will, after a year and half recognise that the only route to peace lies in the release of the hostages .

Unless there is a miracle between now and Seder night, when we sit down together 59 innocent people (perhaps 25 are alive) ,  remain in bondage, shackled in the darkness. A shattered nation will join together to celebrate the holiday of freedom, while simultaneously fighting and praying for the freedom of those held captive.

Chag Sameach

Kind Regards
