As threatened Iran has launched missiles at Israel. The first wave of cruise missiles are expected to reach Israel at 2 am and a second wave of drones by the early hours . The US and other countries including Jordan are assisting Israel in intercepting the missiles before they even enter Israeli airspace. Already it is reported that missiles have been intercepted over Syria.
Iraq is also firing at Israel. There are unconfirmed reports of a large exploding in Tehran.
Jordan has declared a state of emergency and Israel and neighbouring countries have closed their airspace.
GPS are jammed therefore the missiles may miss their targets and the shrapnel could cause damage and injuries.
School is cancelled in Israel until further notice and everyone we have spoken to tonight is awake and awaiting the attack.
A US re-fuelling tanker has sent out an SOS while flying over southern Iraq.
Iran is threatening US American bases in the region with ballistic missiles.
We are at Heathrow awaiting an ElAl flight which presumably will not be going.
It seems at this hour we have a good idea of what Iran plans to do but we do not know what Israel plans to do in retaliation or if some deal has been hashed out to save face for the Iranians and it will be over in day or two.
