Turkey is entertaining the Hamas leaders, which really does put them on the wrong side of history, as even those who sympathise with the dreadful plight of the people in Gaza must be able to see what Hamas are and what Hamas are doing.
Israelis used to love to go to Turkey but their leadership is so blatantly anti Israel and continues to look for ways to provoke the Jewish state. This week they intend to send another flotilla to Gaza, despite the terrible way the last attempt ended. Israel should cut all ties with Turkey and search out new partners for essential imports as Turkey has already announced boycotts. It really is a sour relationship which cannot improve all the time the little Hitler wannabe, Erdogan, remains in power.
This Pesach over 100,000 Israelis are displaced, 1490 have been murdered at the hands of Hamas, many many are injured, and the situation in Gaza is dire. Since the start of the war over 13,000 rockets and missiles have been fired into Israel. It is being reported, but not confirmed that only 40 hostages remain alive in Gaza.
So many families will be sitting down to empty chairs this year.
Despite over 6 months trying to eliminate Hamas, occasional rockets continue to be fired into the south. and the negotiations to locate and free the hostages is all but stalled, with Qatar wanting to wash their hands of Hamas, and requesting they should re-locate their headquarters. Hence, the cowardly dogs, are sniffing around Turkey and Oman.
Iran’s proxy in the north, Hezbollah , have rained down heavy rocket fire onto communities in northern Israel since Shabbat. We hear there has been a direct hit this afternoon with one injured. There is a steady stream of drones and the IDF continue to destroy military equipment of the enemy in both Lebanon and Syria.
Trouble continues in the Judea and Samaria, known as the West Bank, with 2 terrorists eliminated, shooting reported from Kibbutz Merav and an attempted stabbing at a checkpoint. The unrest in these areas in increasing daily.
Explosions heard in the Haifa area are only a drill.
The USA is as confused as the POTUS, one minute supporting Israel, the next putting out sanctions on a Haredi unit, that committed a crime against a civilian under the last government. Those involved were held accountable. The fighters in that unit are presently deeply involved in Gaza.
The actions and the words of the US are quite baffling at times, but as the country is being led by a senile old man, who doesn’t know the difference between Haifa and Rafah, it is not surprising that they do not seem to know what they are doing or saying. They have a least, thankfully, passed a bill that will continue to financially aid Israel to defend herself. We are after all, a small nation that is defending the freedoms that the western world has fought so hard to preserve.
The US did block the recognition of a palestinian state in the UN. It is mind boggling that the UN could be discussing such a move while this war is raging and there is no palestinian leadership that is capable or even wants to make peace with Israel.
The Iranians and the Iraqi militia are spreading false information. Iran are reportedly showing scenes of devastation from their attack last Saturday night, while playing down the damaged done to their radar protecting their nuclear site. We now know that Israel hit an important and sensitive strategic site, sending them a message, that not only do we know where your nuclear facility is housed, we can hit it before you even see us coming.
Shiite militia in Iraq claim to have targeted Eilat, but no such attack has taken place. Huge explosion were reported near Baghdad, so perhaps someone else is targeting them as both Israel and the US have denied responsibility.
The Seder night is only just over 24 hours away and people are on the move to family and friends must be extra cautious , as Palestinian flags are being planted which are booby trapped with bombs. A reservist set off an explosion while removing a flag, and has been taken to hospital.
We can only pray for a rapid end to all hostilities and the immediate release of the hostages and that everyone remains safe and vigilant at this very difficult time .
Chag Sameach.
