Carolyne Davis bring us up to date

There is no ceasefire in Israel. While  most of the country is not hearing sirens, they know they are at war as their sons come home in body bags every few days.

After over two and half years of relentless war things can hardly get worse, they just get closer.

A twenty three year old soldier was killed on Friday and in Eilat today the war is breathing over the whole town,  as the body of a 19 year solder from the Engineering Combat Unit is brought home for burial. It is  a small town,  so most people know each other and many knew Nahorai Lazier the latest soldier to fall in Lebanon.

The beaches are to close so people can attend the funeral . May God comfort the families among the other mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.

The north is under constant fire from Hezbollah and the IDF do not have protection from these new drones that are attached to wires and somehow are not being detected. These young soldiers are now cannon fodder without adequate protection and this situation should not be allowed to continue. Until Israel can give the soldiers proper protections they should be thinking of different ways to push back Hezbollah.

A home in Metulla has been hit by a UAV and  the much hated Ben G’vir  & Smotrich seem to be the only ones pushing for much harder strikes on the terrorist group who have Lebanon in their grip and Israel in their sight .

As I write Red Alerts are coming through every few minutes for the north.

Ben G’vir caused quite a stir this week when he mocked the detained flotilla activists. Even the PM was appalled by his behaviour which did Israel a huge disservice, giving oxygen to the haters and the lefties. However, it seems all the activists,  who are not mere tourists but political provocateurs, sailing to Gaza with some misplaced idea that they can help the situation actually left Israel intact, alive and well. Even the ones who claimed to have been beaten managed to have no bruises on injuries until they arrived in Spain and were given a jolly good beating by the Spanish police.

These people are enemies of the state and unlike the UK who accepts those who enter illegally and house, feed and clothe them at the tax payers expense, Israel puts them on the next plane out,  albeit it also at the tax payers expense.

One problem is that the western world seem to think they can solve the Israeli/Arab conflict by applying the norms of the western society,  and they are far off the mark. In the UK for example, young rapists are allowed to go free after gang raping a young girl. Criminal migrants are allowed to receive financial support and cannot be deported . Police are beaten and the offenders go free,  and of course attacks on Jews both verbal and physical carry very little consequences for the thugs.

It doesn’t work like that in the Middle East. Most countries have brutal police forces under autocratic dictators . 15 countries in the Middle East use the death penalty, some even for homosexual acts, blasphemy and apostasy (leaving Islam). Some countries hold the women responsible for being raped : Afghanistan, Iran and Sudan are well known for turning rape into a charge of adultery against the women and the punishment is being buried up to your neck and stoned to death.

So the woke lefties and the western press are wringing their hands at the dreadful behaviour of Ben G’vir they should perhaps have a look around the neighbourhood and start to protest at the plight of women and girls in muslim countries.

With all the problems Israel is facing, the deaths of young soldiers and the north under constant attack, no one gives a hoot about the Gaza flotilla activists. Most  just wish Ben G’vir would just  shut up.

Israel is the only democracy in the Middle East and has yet to use the death penalty since they hung Eichmann in 1962. Under this government it has been reintroduced for terrorists, which had Israel executed many of the Hamas terrorists held in jail, it is possible  the October 7th  hostages may not have been taken. These acts of kidnapping always result in the release of savage terrorists that go on to commit more heinous crimes.

The national elephant in the room is the question of what will Trump do now. Will he hang Israel out to be once again be at the mercy of Iran and their proxies or will he finish the job and get the enriched uranium out of the hands of the Mullahs ?

No one knows, no one even knows if Trump knows!

The hotels in Eilat have cancelled bookings through to November so they can house American soldiers, the airports are full of American jets and everyone sits waiting . The tourist industry is smashed, the cost of living is rising daily especially for those with dollar or sterling incomes and while life is carrying as much as possible,  as normal, the country is moribund waiting on Trump.
