We are out of the summer heat in Israel, but still of course watching and following the news from family and friends. We may be thousands of miles away, but were woken in the night when our alarm went off warning of an infiltration into Eilat.
My teenage grandson had asked to use the house that night, but having learnt my lesson when his father used to invite the whole neighbourhood in for a party years ago, I firmly said “NO, sleep on the beach!” Well, you really feel bad, when you know the drone is overhead and you’ve denied your grandson a safe room !
As it happens on this occasion it seems the Iron Dome, didn’t manage to intercept the drone but thankfully no damage was done and said Grandson knows not to ask again!
It is unusual for Eilat to have missiles and drones and they mostly arrive from Iraq and occasionally from Yemen. Countries that Israel has no argument with but who have chosen to join the affray, hoping to do some damage, in their support of terror.
Israel is awaiting a shipment of large bombs from the USA and they may well be needed if Hezbollah continue in their unabated attacks on the north. The US held them back,due to the large concentration of civilians in Rafah. The IDF mostly has control of Rafah, but there are snipers and groups of terrorists hiding in buildings. The US can release those bombs now as the Gaza war is winding down and the current threat is mostly from the north. Watching the Biden/Trump debate last night, makes one thankful that Israel has had the support of the US to date, as it quite clear no one is really leading the US right now and the future looks terrifying
With more IDF success and control predicted in Gaza, in the coming weeks, “the day after” is fast approaching and hopefully it will be a pan Arab alliance, so that Israel can leave Gaza totally . The weakness of the Egyptian government who are trying to suppress the Moslem Brotherhood themselves leaves many questions to just how well Egypt can even control their own out of control terror. They clearly allowed tunnels to be built and weapons to be smuggled into Gaza these last 17 years.
Iran are taking strength while the west is pulling itself apart, trying to garner the Moslem and left votes while the Middle East is on fire. Israel sorely needs help and support before the Iranians get so much Dutch courage, watching the anti Israel rhetoric, that they ignite a wider conflict.
Iran is pushing for the west to back a ceasefire in Israel, leaving Hamas intact, which would take Israel back to October 6th and sentence the residents to more years under a tyrannical death cult. Hams have been regrouping in Gaza city and the IDF launched a surprise attack and evacuated civilians to a safer area.
Iran is succeeding in making Israel into a pariah state while they themselves are racing towards nuclear break out in a matter of weeks. On multiple occasions Iran has pledged to destroy the state of Israel and a few weeks ago we saw them in action when they sent thousands of drones and missiles aimed at Israel.
5,000 acres have been burned from the Hezbollah attacks. Multiple missiles were sent yesterday from Lebanon and this weekend the town of Metulla is closed to all. The north of Israel is on fire with a huge barrage of rockets on the mystical town of Tzfat.
Across from Haifa, Afula and Tiberius is designated a high risk area this weekend. The elderly and children are advised to stay near their safe rooms or preferably evacuate. Everyone is being advised to carry a weapon to defend themselves.
Another hero soldier has fallen in Gaza, bringing the total to fallen soldiers in Gaza to 316, 15 in the north, and 8 in the West Bank. Each a young life tragically lost in defence of their country from the monstrous cult that has gripped the Islamic world and is currently attacking Israel, as a stepping stone to move onto Europe . Cyprus has been threatened by Iran this week !
The lies being told about the Hamas war are being totally debunked, but the main stream western media are not correcting their malicious misreporting . There is and has not been any famine in Gaza, Hundreds of aid trucks enter daily. There is is however, terrible famine in Sudan, but sadly no one seems to care about that ! There has been no genocide, and those who go one step further and call it a Holocaust are shamefully belittling the terrible years of suffering that the Nazis caused in Europe.
There is a terrible war raging , started by Hamas, supported by Iran, encouraged by the “River to the Sea” brigade, enabled by the western media. It can stop tomorrow but that is totally in the hands of Hamas.
120 hostages still remain in captivity . We know that 46 have been murdered . 116 have come home alive and 19 bodies have been recovered.
