We’ve been taking some time out to refresh our souls and rest our bodies. We haven’t switched on the television for over two weeks, but of course, with phones the news filters through. Mostly, its more of the same, cowardly countries, that are overrun by Islamic voters, condemning Israel, the jealous losers at Eurovision shouting foul and Israel continuing to fight for the freedom of the hostages and the destruction of Hamas.
The orange man in the White House has turned yellow, making a deal with the Houthis, but he isn’t doing anything he didn’t promise by prioritising American interests above all else. Profit and planes “Trump” morals and values .
By making a deal with the Houthi, he is in fact, turning over the policing of the World’s waterways around the Red Sea, to a prescribed terrorist group in exchange for allowing American ships to pass, while rockets continue to rain down on Israel. This is MAGA at its worst, and he is not behaving anything like the leader of the free world.
We have witnessed American isolationist policies before, when they carried on as usual while Europe was falling to the Nazis and only reacted once Pearl Harbour was bombed.
So, it is mostly business as usual, although the BBC went even further in its malicious and hateful lies by repeating the newest UN blood libel that 14,000 babies* were about to die in Gaza. The manifestation of these lies that have included genocide and famine resulted in two young innocent Israelis being gunned down in Washington DC.
* This has since been admitted by the UN, not to be true.
We will have to see if Trump thinks its acceptable for Jews to be killed on the streets of America. Sadly in the US gun crime is the norm rather than the exception and we didn’t see much of a reaction except the usual hand wringing and words.
Everyone is war weary and the death toll on both sides is more than tragic, but what choices are available to Israel : give in now to Hamas’s demands and hope they free all the hostages. The scenario will undoubtedly result in another war, but many in Israel feel that the promise that no one is left behind is paramount and that we can re-group and prepare for the next war.
Others feel that the price paid to date is so high that we must continue to the bitter end. The problem is no one can visualise what is the bitter end. There is still not a concrete plan in place for the day after Hamas.
The problem is Hamas is not just a physical force, but it is an ideology that has taken root over many years stretching back to the days of Hitler when the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem was hoping to exterminate the Jews in the Middle East.
Once the Egyptian Arafat came to power the idea of a Palestinian nationhood took hold and morphed into the present day struggle for recognition. It was fed by UNWRA that systematically poisoned the young minds, so they know nothing but hate and their only salvation is Jihad. The other Arab nations happily condoned and enabled the “refugee’ status that has become their only identity by denying citizenship and rights to those whose dependents were displaced over 77 years ago!
Tragically, this idea has now captured the minds of the young around the world who think they too are fighting for a just cause against the evil Israel, which is promoted as the cause of all the ills in the world. It is Nazism in a different cloak and it is contagious and fashionable. The the young do not know why they are disillusioned and it eases their pain to blame the Jews.
They want justice and fairness and facts cannot stand in their way as they chant “Free, Free Palestine”, without knowing what river and what sea they think this wonderful state of Palestine should be established. They give no thought to the reality of brutal dictatorial Islamic regimes, of which Hamas, is an extreme example , as they sit in their comfortable universities. They do not realise they are laying the groundwork for their own way of life to be eliminated, once the Jews are out of the way !
Under pressure Israel has delivered hundreds of trucks of aid into Gaza, which were mostly looted by Hamas, so we are breathing new life into the enemy.
The problem is we cannot defeat Hamas, as the Gazans have been bred to all become Hamas. As quickly as one leader is eliminated another young man steps into his shoes. We could carry on for years, and we will not defeat Hamas, only destroy ourselves.
Israelis are now so divided on what we should do next. Friends and families are at each others throats as to the way forward.
The hostages continue to rot, the young soldiers continue to die and the hatred for Israel grows daily together with Iran’s uranium enrichment capabilities.
We are now at day 596 of the war and it is staggering that a super power like Israel cannot yet declare victory over the rabble army of Hamas. We had not an inkling of their strength and capabilities, and there are very serious questions to be answered when this is over.
A hostage deal that doesn’t include handing power back to Hamas and a total withdrawal of the IDF is not even on the horizon. The torment and suffering of the hostages and their families is ignored by western media but remains utmost in the hearts and minds of Israelis.
The situation remains dire and now not only for Israel, but for Jews everywhere. We can only pray for a miracle that brings the release of the hostages and a lasting peace.
