The selective empathy of celebrities
So this young Greta Thungberg, the climate change activist with selective empathy happily accepted aid from the Israelis, in the form of a sandwich, water and safe transport. I guess she achieved her aim for another five minutes of fame but the latest photo shot won’t do her street cred in Gaza any good. (If she has any). I read she has asked the Swedish government to rescue her from the Israelis . What a lucky girl, that she was “kidnapped” by the Israelis and not Hamas and is spared the torture of rape, starvation and being kept like a chained beast in a dark tunnel.
Uri Geller got in on the frenzy by sending “extraterrestrial brain waves” to their ship to confuse it and send it off course. As no one else has claimed the credit for their GPS going haywire with some idiots claiming they had sailed to Amman, which does not border the Mediterranean , we can give him the credit for using his powers. And he does have incredible powers which we have witnessed personally, so not everything can be explained in terms of logic.
We’ve read reports that Greta will be given a little education in Israel, where she was safely towed to Ashdod. She will be sat down to see the reality of October 7th in all its graphic horror. A tour of the South wouldn’t go amiss so that next time she dons a black and white keffiyeh, she will at least know what it is she is supporting!
Perhaps they could invite Dawn French and her mocking baby voice making light of the psychopathic burning, raping and kidnapping of Israeli civilians . I don’t know what it is with these celebrities who jump on band wagons, without even knowing or feeling the need to know, the facts, just to promote themselves. Dawn despite her meaty apology, ( sorry we don’t believe you are that stupid ), now joins likes of Gary Lineker, who one day will find they were firmly on the wrong side of humanity. It is an illness.
But right now there is a lot of mental illness around especially where Gaza is concerned. The starving and the slaughtered of other troubled areas in the world do not register with the “River to the Sea” brigade, but they have a derangement when it comes to Gaza. Now that they have the BBC, aided and influenced by the contemptuous goose stepping Jeremy Bowen, as their official mouthpiece, promoting programmes that star Hamas’s children and spewing out lie after lie, they feel they have the advantage of respectability.
If we examine it a little closer we can link up the dots easily and it leads straight back to anti semitism which has rebranded itself as anti Zionism, and it is a concerted effort to turn back the clock, undo the establishment of the state of Israel and put world Jewry at risk again of another holocaust .
Every moment of every day the plight of the hostages and their families weighs heavy on the Jewish heart. After the recovery of the bodies of Judy Weinstein Haggai and her husband Gali were rescued, a further hostage body was brought out of Gaza, that of Thailandi worker Pinta Nattapong, leaving 55 still held captive. It is thought that perhaps 20 remain alive. A photo of Matan Ben Einav stating that Israel “will not recover him alive”was published. Hamas are not content to kill and torture those they have in captivity but want to torture the whole nation with their cruel threats.
Young soldiers continue to lose their lives in Gaza as so many buildings are booby trapped. In the last week alone 8 young lives have been lost in Gaza. Hamas’s main command centre has been discovered under the EU funded, European hospital in Khan Younis. The body of Muhammad Sinwar, the brother of the architect of October 7th, Yahya Sinwar was discovered in the rubble of the hospital. The EU are totally complicit in this war and have covered up and funded the crimes of Hamas for years .
As the world cannot deny that hundreds of aid trucks are entering Gaza daily, the cry of famine has died down and now the accusation is that Israel is killing journalists. What they conveniently forget to mention is that the journalists are also Hamas operatives .
Hospitals and journalists loose all their rights under international law when they are used for terrorist purposes !
In addition to Hamas there are other savage Islamic groups operating in Gaza. The one that kidnapped the Bibas family and killed two precious babies with their bare hands was called the Mujahideen. This group infiltrated Kibbutz Nir Oz on October 7th. The IDF have successfully eliminated their leader . It is not revenge but justice, although nothing will ever blot out the image of that terrified mother clutching her two gingy babes as they are dragged to their execution at the hands of these brutal savages. And make no mistake here, Hamas are executing the hostages !
The operation in Gaza continues even though a large part of the Israeli population is calling for a deal that would see the hostages released and the war finished. Everyone has a different opinion on how this would pan out but most accept it would lead to another confrontation with Hamas at some time in the future. Israel is on the road to election with the row over the Haredi conscription not resolving and we will see if a new coalition chooses to run the war differently or to make a deal and leave Hamas to re-group.
Personally, I do not see why the lives of young soldiers are being sacrificed as we cannot beat Hamas by this “Whack a Mole” effort of just killing the terrorists when they pop up . The bigger picture is Iran who are supplying support and arms around the world to terror organisations and China is arming Iran in exchange for cheap oil.
The whole of Gaza would benefit from being flattened and rebuilt which is not possible with civilians who need feeding and caring for. Trump’s plan to relocate the residents is not ethnic cleansing, but an opportunity to get out of harm’s way and to start a new life somewhere that is not in a constant state of war and perhaps even return one day when Gaza is not a terrorist enclave run by a bunch of murderous thugs.
The head of the UN humanitarian relief said that “ a series of deliberate choices” have systematically deprived two million people of the essentials they need to survive.
He is right !
Those deliberate choices, however, were made firstly by the people who voted in Hamas and were complicit in building a war machine with the aid money instead of a state ; and not for defence, but to attack and eradicate Israel. The next choice that led directly to this situation was the attack on October 7th. An attack made all the more possible by all the intelligence collected by those Gazans who came daily to work in the Jewish State and befriended the kibbutzniks while drawing up plans for their slaughter .
Even after October 7th, the war could have been shortened by returning the hostages and surrendering their arms. The Arab world has consistently made bad choices in their obsession to clear Israel of Jews and replace it with yet another Islamic state. (Already there are 57 and 56 sit on the UN ).
Every war has been a disaster for them and the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. So the insanity of the Arab world who supported this refugee status from generation to generation and educated children to wish for a glorious death killing Jews are the deliberate choices. The UN can’t really complain as they funded it !!
The Red Cross has plenty to say but they still haven’t visited any hostages , nor delivered aid or medicine.
The world clearly either can’t or won’t stop Iran from enriching materials sufficient to make a nuclear grade weapon, so we should concentrate our efforts on regime change in Iran and stop this silly chatting that has been going on since Obama’s day and has not yielded any results except more terrorism.
The world needs to stop the nonsense of being kind and humane to terrorists and face the danger. October 7th woke Israel up from a long complacent slumber, but the West is yet to have its October 7th as clearly 9/11 didn’t send a strong enough message or that message has been buried and forgotten. It’s easy to put your head in the sand, but the writing is on the wall. The world is a very dangerous place and Israel is the least of their problems.
