They say a week is a long time in the Middle East, but I can tell you even a few hours at the moment is a long time. I wrote a long report yesterday to be published today, which is now superseded, highlighting the double standard that Israel is held to and commenting on the sanctioning of Ben Gvir and Smotrich.
Any sensible person would recognise that is not helpful to sanction an ally’s elected ministers, however vile their views may be, and we should let democratic nations sort out their own affairs.
This morning what these five nations that pose as allies think is actually of no concern to anyone in Israel. We have bigger fish to fry.
Since the massacre of 7th October the western media have totally failed to acknowledge the threats that Israel has been facing from a seven front war financed from Tehran.
What we have heard is false accusations of genocide, famine, killing of babies, starving civilians , all reported by the Hamas ministry of health, ( a designated terrorist organisation). Zero recognition that this is a war and Hamas are using the civilians as human shields.
They didn’t even bother much when Hamas attacked an aid lorry killing 5-10 aid workers and taking others hostages ! They have weaponised humanitarian concerns to use against Israel only.
The BBC is looking foolish along side Britain, France, Canada, Norway and Australia as they gleefully continue to report that there is a rift between Israel and the USA, and hope for Israel’s downfall.
It is obvious now that Trump made a deal with the Russians to stay out of this in exchange for Crimea and parts of Ukraine, that Russia was going to keep anyway. A brilliant tactic and ruse to clear the way for Israel to destroy Iran’s nuclear ambitions.
Missiles designated and promised to Ukraine were quickly diverted to Israel and the USA has Israel’s back.
So all the anti Israel media that fell for the nonsense that Israel was isolated, now must just sit back and witness Israel carrying out an audacious attack on Iran that will ultimately make the world a safer place. They will, of course, have plenty to say, why Israel should have allowed Iran to develop a nuclear weapon to use against the Jewish State.
So far the operation has been succesful with the IAF destroying all of Iran’s ballistic missile launchers and intercepting the hundred or so drones they sent . According to the Red Cross Israel has attacked 12 Iranian provinces and we hear reports from the of a radiation leak at the Natanz nuclear facility. The Iranian airforce and missile depots are currently under attack.
Ingenious years of planning have gone into today’s attacks. It is reported that Israel had set up military defences in Iran under the noses of the regime, making the pager attack look like a dress rehearsal.
Hezbollah are pooping in their Jalabiyas as they say they will not join in the attack.
Iraq have sensibly decided to not get involved and want to concentrate on rebuilding their country and lives
We cannot just wound a dangerous beast, so we expect to hear much more in the coming hours, as Israel cannot afford to do a half job here.
We have read that Israel has given Iran an ultimatum to allow its nuclear facilities to be destroyed and hold onto their oil refineries. Iran has raised the flag of revenge and has promised the largest strike ever on Israel. They have been threatening for years to destroy Israel and remove the Jewish state like a cancer on the world!
The situation is dangerous and volatile, but when this is over Israel and the Middle East will be a much safer place for the next 20-30 years.
Once Hamas has no financial support and cannot look to Iran for weapons, hopefully, they will be destroyed beyond repair and the poor hostages will be found and rescued.
We all wait anxiously for news of loved ones in the region both those fighting and those on the home front, and pray this bold move brings peace to the region, freedom from tyranny to the people of Iran and a new beginning where people can live quietly in tolerance side by side .
May our leaders be granted the wisdom and courage to carry out their duties and protect our soldiers and civilians from harm.
Shabbat Shalom
Kind Regards
Carolyne Davis
