My letter to Sir Keir Starmer : ( probably will go straight into the No 10 rubbish bin, but we cannot remain silent )
Prime Minister Starmer,
In the wake of your recent statement, what incentive remains for Hamas to release hostages?
None , in fact you pushed Hamas away from the negotiations !
You have declared your intention to 'recognise Palestine' if a ceasefire does not occur, thus ensuring that no ceasefire will be reached. Why would Hamas come to the negotiating table when they know you will grant them concessions in the absence of a resolution?
They have now walked away from the negotiations as they only have to sit and wait and make sure conditions do NOT improve sufficiently for a cease fire !!!
So many friends and family now sit in shock !
You must realise that your actions may have sealed the fate of these hostages.
It’s an unforgivable stance .
You have placed conditions solely on Israel, while Hamas faces none, despite being the group that threatens our safety. This approach is particularly reckless given the history of terrorism impacting cities like London and Manchester.
The British Jewish community and its allies will remember how you have risked the lives of hostages to appease the hard Left of your party. You have thrown both the hostages and Israel under the bus in a desperate attempt to placate Jeremy Corbyn and his supporters, despite the clear message from the electorate during his leadership bid.
You struggle to control your borders, yet you have the audacity to instruct Israel on preventing further massacres by Hamas, a terrorist organisation funded by Iran?
Your position is not just laughable; it is harmful to both Israel and British Jews.
You pledged to eliminate antisemitism from Labour; that was your promise. Instead, you are emboldening extremists and terrorists.
Under your leadership, British Jews feel increasingly at risk, anxious, and are facing rising antisemitism. You have abandoned this small but significant community.
So many in our community are now talking about their future in the UK . Was that your desire, to rid the UK of its Jews by putting them on the front line and making them feel unsafe, unwanted and insecure at a time when they are suffering so much hatred ?
This is truly horrible .
In the Synagogues all across the UK tonight and tomorrow people will be talking about how you’ve let the Jewish community and yourself down, by siding with Hamas and rewarding them for starting a war, killing thousands of innocents ( including their own people) and taking , torturing and starving innocent hostages .
We will not forget the day you declared yourself an enemy of the Jewish people and a friend to Hamas.
Sincerely,
Kind Regards
Carolyne Davis
