Tuesday 12th September.
Its beginning to feel more like YomTov. The weather is cooling down and rain is forecasted - life is more normal and we can prepare.
Carolyne Davis has written in New from Israel, about her experiences of celebrating the Holy Days in Israel. It is such an interesting contribution.
In our That's Showbiz section, we have the story of Lauren Bacall - a nice Jewish girl who was one of the greatest stars of Hollywood, married to Humphrey Bogart till he died. She was also the cousin of Shimon Perez, Prime Minister and later President of Israel.
We have in the Parsha section the Parshas for this coming Saturday and Sunday wherever you will be celebrating.
Talking about celebrating, in Brighton and Hove, there will be about 2,450 Jewish people celebrating - a decrease of 900 since 2001, and 5,000 since 1968.
Without one of the most important events of the past year has been the opening of the new centre at New Church Road along with the rebuilt Synagogue. Hopefully shortly we will be including the message from their CEO, Mark Sugarman.
I will also post tomorrow the times of the services in case you need them in all the local Shuls.
Until then
Shavua Tov
