WHAT WONDERFUL WEATHER FOR SUCCOTH

We have been truly blessed this year with great weather over the Holyday period and the forecast is that it continues well into Succoth. 100% different to last year where many leaky rooves. I hope as many people participate as after the seriousness of Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur, it is good to be having something to celebrate in a joyous way. I offer special congratulations to those who have assisted in the building of the Succahs.

I am delighted to say that we have a really great article under our "Letter from Hollywood" section. Barbra is a wonderfully unique person, and if you ever speak to her on Zoom, you cannot escape the influence of birdlife. So the stars this week are her bird friends as she tells us of the part they play in her life.

From Corinne Rachelle, we have her recipe for an Apple cake. From the sound of it, I am want to call round and have a piece.

Brighton and Hove Albion seem to be playing every other day, and our friend Jack is trying to keep up with it. Thank you Jack - we look forward to your reports. I have suggested to Jack that whilst our Football Video section is like The Sun or Daily Mirror, his reports are more encyclopaedic, the type you will refer to at the end of the season or later.

This week, we had the Yomtov version of the Kosher Quiz. Congratulations to Roberta Raphael-Harris on winning. There are 30 questions of various topics in our Quiz section, see how you do.

On Sunday rehearsals for the Top Hat Productions performances in November get to the serious stage. See the advert at the end of this for how to book. I can assure you it will be a very good show, on 18th November in the evening and 19th in the late afternoon, all at Ralli Hall

All that remains is for me to wish you Good Shabbos and Chag Sameach

Nick
