When the news of the terrible strike on Majdal Shams, which stole the lives of 12 Druze Children and injured many others, was reported on the world’s media, they seemed to totally over look that Hezbollah had already sent over 7,000 rockets to the north of Israel.
It was an absolute tragedy that this one rocket hit exactly where a group of children were playing football. It is unbelievable that there hasn’t been more terrible tragedies as Hezbollah send their rockets indiscriminately, not caring who or where they hit.
Over 19,000 rockets, drones and missiles have also been launched indiscriminately from Gaza since the outbreak of war in October. There is no other country in the world that would be expected to tolerate the attacks that Israel has been suffering , and not just since October 7th!
Israel finally lost patience with the death of so many children and launched targeted strikes in both Lebanon and Tehran, killing the Hamas second in command, Ishmail Haniyeh, and the top Hezbollah commander Fuad Shukr in Beirut. Both men were wanted terrorists who had orchestrated many hideous attacks, The US had a $5 million bounty on head of Shukr.
In addition an Iranian military adviser to the Iranian Revolutionary Guards was killed in Beirut.
These incidences highlight the contrasting ideologies of Israel, who carry out precision strikes in professionally executed operations targeting terrorists, against the indiscriminate targeting of civilians carried out by both Hamas and Hezbollah.
Hamas and Hezbollah are smarting from the assassinations of such high ranking commanders and shocked that it was carried out with such ease and accuracy . The threats of retaliation from the Houthi, Hamas, Hezbollah and even the Turkish President are being taken very seriously by Israel, who expect a significant attack in the coming days. Tonight, Wednesday , the Supreme Leader of Iran has ordered a direct attack on Israel.
The US has come out in support of Israel, acknowledging their right to defend themselves and declaring they will also defend their interests in the Middle East.
In Judea and Samaria, which is also known as the West Bank or the Occupied Territories depending on who is talking, Arabs have been carrying out dozens of terrorist attacks with stones and Molotov cocktails. It is reported that the check point at Qalqilya, which is a town under the administration of the PA is under serious attack. Protest marches are reported from Jenin.
In all these recent developments the hostage deal has all but evaporated and it must be hell for the families who thought they were so close .
It is unclear which airlines have cancelled their flights in and out of Israel , but it is reported that British Airways and some American Airlines will be cancelling from tomorrow .
The whole of Israel is on high alert and waiting for the response. There is very little anyone can do now the dice has rolled, except to prepare their shelters , make sure they have food, water and medicine and pray.
