Good Shabbos to all,
It's almost over, the Olympics. I have enjoyed watching a lot of it, but even I am getting impatient for normality
In the past week Carolyne Davis has written two commentaries on the situation in Israel. Meanwhile we hear today that USA Egypt and Qatar are trying to revive the talks about the Ceasefire. Israel has said it would attend, but nothing from the Hamas
At this time of the year when we should not be eating meat or drinking wine, except on Shabbat, Corinne Rachelle has presented two recipes. The first was for a Broad bean and Feta Pasta, and today we have Cod Provencal - Bon Appetit
I am delighted to say that Jack Kaye has prepared us for the forth coming season at the Albion by telling us what has happened in the last 3 months as we prepare for the "off" at Everton's ground on 17th August.
Congratulations to Irene Wise who won the latest edition of the Kosher Cup
It was with sadness, that I learned of the double standards of the Pride Organising Committee last weekend. They decided that a Jewish Pro-Pride group should not be allowed to participate in the parade, where as a Palestinian group were welcomed.
There was also action by the Gays for Palestine. I am horrified at this and would like people to bring it to the attention of other opinion formers.
Anyway, lets all have a good week, and pray that Iran is dissuaded from causing to much death and destruction in Israel.
Shabbat Shalom
Nick
